To join Home Education UK you must be:
✅ A home educator or parent serious considering home education for your family.
✅ Normally be resident in the UK.
✅ Over 18. Due to the nature of some conversations, the group is only suitable for those age 18 and over.

After requesting to join, please answer all three questions or your request to join the group may be rejected. If you do not receive a notification or feel your request should not have been declined, please message the admin team using the link above.

Unless home educating their own children, they do not accept requests from: LA employees; Researchers; Journalists; Businesses; Tutors; Those educating their children at home in addition to full time school attendance; Members of the public that support home education but do not home educate their children.

This group is for all those home educating or seriously considering home education in the UK.

This a friendly, supportive group, building a network and community of confident home educators. Member to member, parent to parent support.

There is no one right or singular way to 'do' home education - we all do it differently - it should be right for your child and you.

We (HEFA admin) are a group of very experienced home educators. 

We offer support and advice based on the EHE guidelines (please note we do not have legal training nor offer legal advice - we would refer/signpost you onto those who are more able to advise if it was that area).

This group is for parents of home-educated children aged 10yrs+ in the United Kingdom.

THREE QUESTIONS will be asked when you request membership. Please make sure you answer ALL of these or your request will be denied. If you feel we need further information please message admin. https://www.facebook.com/HEUKEAadmin

We do not accept requests from business owners unless they are also currently a home educating family of a child aged 10yrs+. Please see the business rules file for more detail if your membership has been approved.

We will normally decline requests with younger children. Please message an admin if you feel you have a valid reason for joining with a younger child.

The group is run by a volunteer team of admins with experience of home-educating their own children and who want to support others in their journey. We believe in a ‘pay it forward’ ethos and encourage mutual advice, support, and information sharing. We have all benefited ourselves from the generosity of other home-educators 😊 None of the current admin have related businesses or benefit financially from the group.
